Alan W. Gullickson, 74, Solen, ND passed away Wednesday October 22, 2025, at Bismarck, ND. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Cannonball Youth Activity Center Gym. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.

Alan was born July 12, 1951, at Bismarck Hospital to Warren and Matilda (Magilke) Gullickson. He was raised and educated in Solen/Cannonball, North Dakota. He attended Mary College in Bismarck. After college, he worked in the oil field based out of Wyoming and North Dakota. He started farming in 1980s with his father in Solen. He served as a member of the Solen/Cannonball school board and drove school bus for the Solen/Cannonball school district. Prior to retiring, he worked at Prairie Knights Casino.

He was an animal lover, avid reader, and gun enthusiast. He had a wide variety of interests but what was most important to him was his family and friends, including all the students that rode his bus.

He is survived by his daughter and her partner Erin Gullickson and Johnny Nguyen (Melbourne, FL); his seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Elise and Warren Freier, Cindy and Micheal Hoff, Kerry Keller (all of Bismarck), Sandy and Jessie Cloud, Tammy Gullickson and Chad Knutson (all of Mandan), Cade Gullickson (Minneapolis, MN), Tracy Gullickson (Minot); two brothers Christopher and Warren Gullickson (Bismarck) and 15 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Bernice Gullickson (Mandan), Tom and Mona Magilke and Matt and Carolyn Magilke (Bismarck), Bernice Gullickson, Maggie and Alfonse Fleck and Veronica Beckler (Mandan).

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, a great-niece, three brothers-in-laws, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being made with DaWise-Perry / Mandan Crematory, Mandan, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in his name to either the American Heart Association or Central Dakota Humane Society.
