Alberta Catherine Boyle

Alberta Catherine Boyle (née Harris), age 91, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on November 8, 2025, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Born on May 8, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alberta lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, and cherished traditions.

Alberta was the beloved mother of Linda Stanton (Paul) of Aston and Patricia Szelak (Tom) of West Chester. She was also a devoted grandmother to Gabrielle and Danielle Stanton (Jeff); Jason (Mylen), Nick, Katrina, and Jonathan (Haley) Szelak; and Heather Tucker Schab (Gary). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Savanna, Jalynn, Grayson, Kishian, Alinea, Emma, Charlotte, and Everly. Survived by many nieces & nephews. Alberta was predeceased by her daughter Donna V. Nickerson, brothers Frank W. & James D. Harris.

A woman of deep spirituality and unwavering warmth, Alberta was known for her charming personality and heartfelt conversations that left lasting impressions on everyone she met. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family—whether gathered around the table for a game night or simply enjoying each other’s company.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. An avid gardener with a green thumb, Alberta took pride in nurturing her plants as lovingly as she did her relationships. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing—crafting pieces that became treasured keepsakes—and could often be found immersed in a good book or solving word search puzzles. Family game nights were a favorite pastime; she delighted in playing cards and board games with those closest to her.

Alberta also had a fondness for Hallmark movies and listening to her favorite music—moments that brought comfort and joy throughout the years. Her love extended beyond people to include her furry companions Lilly, Winnie, and Gracie who brought her endless affection.

Throughout her life, Alberta touched countless lives with her kindness and grace. She will be remembered as the most loving mom, grandmom, and great-grandmom—a guiding light whose presence brought warmth to every room.
