Alec Miller

Alec "Al" Luke Miller, Jr., 57, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Eugene, Oregon. Born on September 27, 1968, in Birmingham, Alabama, Alec brought warmth and devotion to those fortunate enough to know him.

Affectionately known as "Owl," Al was a man of deep feeling and unwavering loyalty. He was known by many as a big teddy bear—gentle in spirit and fierce in love. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, especially to Carrie Macomber, his significant other of nearly eight years. Al's devotion to Carrie was profound; he would have walked the ends of the Earth for her. Their bond was one of enduring love and mutual respect, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void.

A lifelong fan of Star Wars, Alec found joy and inspiration in the epic tales of hope and heroism that defined the saga. This passion reflected his own character—steadfast, courageous, and full of heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann Miller and Alec Luke Miller, Sr., whose memories remained close to him throughout his life.

Al will be forever missed by Carrie and all those who were touched by his kindness and strength. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
