Alicia (Alice) Catherine Robbins, born August 06, 1935, passed away Friday, October 31 at her home in the company of her loved ones. She is survived by 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 21 (with one more on the way) great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Alice was the youngest of 7, born to Esther Ceballos Sevilla and Jose Sevilla. While growing up in San Francisco, CA, her oldest sister called her “Tootsie”, a nickname that stuck with her throughout her life. Many in her family know her as Auntie or Grandma Tootsie. Some of her fondest childhood memories, that she often shared with the family, were of her and her 6 siblings dancing for the Anderson Sisters School of Dance. Alice would frequently reminisce of her time dancing for children's hospitals, USO shows, and May Day celebrations in Golden Gate Park.
In 1954 Alice met Everett (Ev) Robbins while working at the same telephone company. They quickly fell in love and were married in 1955 for sixty years until his passing in 2016. Alice and Ev loved to travel together, going on cruises, annual trips to Mexico, and road trips. While raising their children and into their adulthoods, Alice and Ev spent many summers and weekends with their family at their Lake Barryessa home creating lasting memories for all.
Alice was the matriarch of the family, the host to our family gatherings for every occasion. She cooked the most amazing meals and gave the best hugs and kisses. She leaves this world with a legacy of love, laughter, honesty and togetherness.
