Alicia Guerrero Bliss

Alicia Guerrero Bliss died peacefully on October 19th, 2025 surrounded by her family. An artist and interior designer, Alicia was born on June 22, 1940, in Quito, Ecuador, the daughter of Carmella Vallejo and Florencio Guerrero Molina. She earned a degree in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design in 1965, before founding her own firm, Inter Design Associates. She went on to earn a Fine Arts Degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts in 2001. She studied mind–body medicine with Dr. Herbert Benson at the Mind/Body Medical Institute, Harvard Medical School, and taught yoga to seniors at the Carter Burden Center in Manhattan. Alicia was married for forty years to Richard Mitchell Bliss, until his death in 2010. She was also predeceased by her daughter Cassie and stepson Rick. Alicia is survived by her daughters Sara and Alyssa, her stepchildren Steve and Laura, and nine beloved grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CaregiverCare.org.
