Amalia Elana Veralli passed away on August 2, 2024, in Berlin, Vermont. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A woman of immense compassion, creativity, and faith, Amalia’s life was a testament to the beauty that can be found in both the extraordinary and the everyday.

An accomplished and award-winning photographer, Amalia had an exceptional gift for capturing life’s quiet moments with grace and depth. She found natural, yet otherworldly, details in places most others miss and revealed unexpected inner dimensions of beauty with her lens. She invited us to enter that inner dimension. Her work resonated with authenticity and emotion, earning her recognition and admiration within the artistic community.

In addition to photography, Amalia was a skilled potter whose hands shaped clay into pieces that reflected her deep appreciation for nature and form. Her pottery was infused with her spirit — earthy and elegant. Her artistry extended beyond aesthetics; it was an expression of how she saw the world: with reverence, wonder, and love.

Amalia drew strength from her Christian faith, which served as a guiding light throughout her life. Her walk with God brought her peace and purpose, grounding her through life’s challenges and inspiring those around her. She lived her beliefs with quiet conviction, offering kindness without judgment, listening with empathy, and loving without condition.

The Green Mountains of Vermont held a special place in Amalia’s heart. Their serene beauty mirrored her own inner landscape—a blend of strength and serenity. It was there that she found inspiration for much of her creative work and solace in times of reflection.

A devoted mother to her beloved son Phil Lang, Amalia embraced motherhood with joy and unwavering dedication, a loving partner to Henry Erickson, whose companionship brought warmth and shared purpose to her days and Her brother Paul Veralli remained a cherished presence in her life, along with an extended family who valued her deeply. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Carmin Veralli.

Amalia’s commitment to others extended beyond family. She was active in Al-Anon, where she offered encouragement and understanding to those navigating difficult paths. Her presence in that community was one of healing—her words gentle yet powerful, her support steadfast.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Amalia will remember not only her talents but also the way she made them feel—seen, heard, uplifted. She had a rare ability to connect deeply with others while remaining true to herself: vibrant yet grounded; strong yet tender; wise yet ever youthful in spirit.

Her family and friends will miss her dearly but will carry forward the gifts she gave so freely—the laughter that brightened rooms, the art that stirred hearts, the faith that inspired hope, and above all else, the love that never wavered.

May the memory of Amalia be a blessing and may it continue to bring comfort to all who hold her close in their hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held on November 29, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Warren United Church 339 MainStreet. There will be a celebration of life after the service at the lower level of The Warren Library.
