Amelia "Millie" Lamoureux, 89, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in York, Maine. Born on March 1,1936, to late parents Homer and Alexandrina Morin in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Millie lived a vibrant and spirited life that touched all who knew her.

Millie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Lamoureux —her cherished silver fox— with whom she shared a true and enduring love. She was also predeceased by her daughter Lori Lamoureux and her sisters Irma Colton, Rita Cartier, and Pearl Casey.

She is survived by her sons Wayne Lamoureux and his wife Kim, and Dean Lamoureux and his wife Joanne. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Renee Lamoureux, Drew Lamoureux, Bridget Matthews, and Briana Morrill; as well as her great-grandsons Robert and Daniel Morrill and great-granddaughter Giana Krzyzanowski.

Her most treasured and difficult task was raising her three children while her husband, Don was away as an airman. Millie also worked as a cake decorator at Carvel ice cream shop. It was outside of work where her personality truly shined.

A woman of flair and fun, Millie participated in pageantry and hair modeling. She delighted in expressing herself through style and humor. Known for her spunk and charm, she made friends wherever she went with her bold jokes and quick whit. Her purse—heavier than she was—was always brimming with photographs of loved ones. Her home was a gallery of family memories: walls adorned with pictures and cards from those she held dear.

Millie found joy in knitting scarves for family members, playing solitaire daily on a board etched with the names and birthdays of those she loved most, indulging in chocolate or enjoying a lively game of bingo. Her faith was central to her life; as a devoted member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, she attended mass every Sunday without fail and always kept a rosary close at hand.

May Amelia "Millie" Lamoureux's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire joy and laughter in the lives she touched.
