Angelika Braun Keikavousi passed away peacefully at the age of 79 after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Angelika was surrounded by the love of family in the comfort of her Orlando home when she left this world.

Born in Bremerhaven, Germany on September 7, 1946, Angelika spent part of her childhood there and was later raised in Schwandorf in Bavaria. As a young adult, she worked as a licensed esthetician in a stylish salon on Berlin's Kurfurstendamm. She soon met the love of her life at a party that neither of them wanted to attend. In 1975, they married in a small ceremony followed by a boisterous party where fashionable friends celebrated together until the sun came up.

Later, she emigrated to Iran with her new husband, where she learned to speak and read Farsi. She gave birth to two daughters and in 1979, the young family fled the revolution and moved to the United States. After settling in Orlando in the 80s, she gave birth to her third daughter. Over the next four decades, Angelika and her husband raised a family and eventually retired together, enjoying a vibrant social life that included weekly belly dancing nights out, international travel and time with their grandchildren. Even during her later years when she struggled to remember, Angelika's light and personality always shined bright.

A caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend, Angelika made anyone she gave her attention to feel looked after and loved. She created a warm, comfortable home where she welcomed family and friends with delicious meals and witty conversation. Angelika was a social butterfly who loved the joy and beauty of life, and she celebrated it often with good food, cocktails, dancing and style.

Angelika leaves behind a family who loves her very much: Husband and life partner of more than 50 years, Firouz. Daughters Roxana, Parisa and Shirin. Sons-in-law Chris, Rob and Tony. Grandchildren Luca, Giuliana and Sebastian; and many siblings, nieces and nephews.

We will forever miss her bright, charming, spirited personality, infectious laughter and the fun she always brought into our lives.
