On December 31, 1967, Angelito Sonny Aczon and his family boarded the SS President Cleveland in the Philippines, beginning a new chapter of life as they sailed to Honolulu, where they arrived on January 18, 1968.
Angelito passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Benita Ramos; his parents, Enedina A. Sales and Eusebio J. Sales; and his brother, Edwin Sales.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Marjorie Zatarain (Manuel), Tiffane Martinez (Angel), Jeniffer Guerrero (Ramiro), and Kristel Damasco, and was a proud grandfather to Manuel Aczon Zatarain and Mario Benjamin Arrizano.
Angelito is also survived by his cherished siblings, Jocelyn Sales, Todd Sales (Charlyn), Ben Sales (Chae), Sherman Cid (Ethel), Robert Cid (Nelly), Manuel Cid (Leilani), Benedict Cid (Bernadette), Marion Cid-Tenefrancia (Andre), and Sheila Cid-Foronda (Andre).
Angelito will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and devotion to those he loved. His gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the example he set as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother leave a legacy that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. All who knew him were blessed by his warmth and generosity, and he will be deeply missed.
