Anna Marie Gilligan

Anna Marie (Graykowski) Gilligan passed away surrounded by the family she
loved so deeply.
Beloved wife of David Gilligan for 50 wonderful years, Anne built a life rich with
love, laughter, and meaning. Their half-century together was a true partnership,
built on love, and unwavering support. They navigated life's challenges and
celebrated its joys together, a testament to a love that was enduring. Together,
they raised four children- Michael (Sarah), Kevin, Steven (Valerie) Gilligan, and
Sarah (Liam) Moran - who will forever carry her in their hearts.
Known affectionately as "Gigi," Anne found her greatest joy in her grandchildren:
Bobby, Rose, Lily, Cian, Conor, Grace, and Penny. They were the light of her life,
each bringing a joy all their own- from laughter and curiosity to warmth and
mischief- gifts she treasured deeply.
Anne is also survived by her brother Wayne Gray and was preceded in death by
her brother Bruce Graykowski and her parents Florence and Norbert Graykowski.
Anne was a woman who cherished the simple and beautiful things- a carefully
written list, a captivating book, a well told story, traveling and summers spent at
Long Lake, her favorite place in the world, where memories of family and
laughter will last a lifetime.
Anne's spirit will live on in the stories told, the pages turned, and the family she
leaves behind who take comfort knowing she is at peace in heaven. Visitation
Sunday, October 26th 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Donnellan Funeral Home 10525 S.
Western Ave. Chicago. Funeral Monday, October 27th 9:00 a.m. from the funeral
home to St. Cajetan Church 2445 W. 112th St. for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment
