Anna C. Ossler, age 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on October 20, 2025, at Heartlands in Ellicott City, MD. Anna was born on November 21, 1946, to Charles Ossler and Dorothy Sommer Ossler in Canton, Ohio. Raised in Robertsville, OH, she attended Minerva High School and graduated with the Class of 1964.

Anna attended Ohio State University, the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and Northwestern University. While she began her studies in Speech Pathology, she went on to earn a master's degree in Special Education and Administration.

Anna retired from the Montgomery County Public School System in 2006. She began her distinguished career in education as a Teacher Specialist in Special Education and later served as Principal of Sherwood Elementary, a role she greatly enjoyed. She continued to work for the school system in several administrative capacities for the remainder of her career.

After retirement, Anna moved to Easton, where she enjoyed volunteering, making new friends, and embracing life after work. In 2021, she relocated to Howard County to be closer to her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Tom Koehler, Anna is the beloved mother of Lora Koehler and her husband, Jim Walraven, and the cherished grandmother of Clementine Walraven. She is also the amazing older sister of Darlene Russ of Magnolia, OH, and her family, and of Charlene Ossler and her husband, Alex Feng, of San Leandro, CA.

Anna will be remembered as tough, spirited, and full of life. She was a fighter, an advocate, fun-loving, generous, and a loyal friend. She loved nice things, driving fast, an evening out, and a good book—and she never hid what she was thinking. Her unrelenting spirit and love will be missed greatly.
