Anna Louise Sills (née Bradshaw)
February 20, 1935 – October 26, 2025
Anna Louise Sills, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at Life Care Center in Puyallup, Washington. She was 90 years old.
Born on February 20, 1935, in Spokane, Washington, Anna grew up with a lively spirit and a deep curiosity about the world around her. Throughout her life, she shared her warmth, wit, and compassion with everyone she met.
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Sills, and by her three brothers, George, Herb, and Fred Bradshaw. She is survived by her five children — Steven Sills, Patrick Sills, Gayle Gaston, Jonathan Sills, and Mary Sills — as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
A woman of many interests and accomplishments, Anna was an avid bowler, a proud member of MENSA, and served in the Civil Air Patrol. She was deeply devoted to causes she believed in, especially advocating for better education and treatment for children with disabilities. Her leadership and compassion touched many lives.
Anna was also an active member of her community, serving as a past Madam President of her local Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Her strong faith guided her throughout her life, and she found great joy in her years as a lay minister and choir member at the Methodist Church. One of her cherished memories was traveling with her choir to sing at a cathedral in Vienna, Austria — an experience she often recalled with fondness and wonder.
Anna’s ashes will be interred with her husband, Richard, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington, where they will rest together in peace.
Her family will remember her for her intelligence, humor, strength, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and faith that will live on through those she touched.
