Anne Alice Sheppard

Anne Alice Sheppard, 85, passed away on September 21, 2023, in Deer Park, NY. Born on March 25, 1938, Anne dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying the role of a devoted wife and mother. She was actively involved in the PTA, Booster clubs, and religious education, highlighting her commitment to nurturing not only her children but also their peers.
Anne's professional journey included a significant tenure as a secretary at Grumman Aerospace and later, various clerical roles within the Deer Park School District. Her dedication extended to her faith as a devout Catholic and a Eucharistic Minister at Ss. Cyril and Methodious Church.
Her personal life was filled with joy and hobbies that included travel, particularly memorable trips to Disney World with her family, and enjoying low-stakes slots at casinos. Anne was an enthusiastic sports fan, often seen cheering at her grandsons' games. She also had a creative side, shown in her chocolate molding, crafting holiday shapes and enjoying the fun of a good bargain.
Anne is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kimberly Hope (James); son, David Sheppard (Jennifer); and grandsons, Glenn, James, Benjamin, Joseph, and Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, after 59 years of marriage; her son, Glenn Sheppard; her parents, Josephine and Charles Watson; stepfather, William Egan; and brother, William Watson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne's memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
