Annette Remick Lefebvre
June 30, 1957 – October 24, 2025
Annette Remick Lefebvre, 68, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Annette was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and lived there for the first five years of her life. Her family then moved to Chevy Chase, Maryland. Except for two years at a Sacred Heart school in Brazil, where she first began sewing clothes for those in need, Annette’s education and character were shaped by the enduring values of faith, intellect, service, and community at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Maryland, where she graduated.
She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and her graduate degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, where she met her husband, Hugues Lefebvre. They married in 1981 and shared 44 beautiful years together, raising three children.
Annette and Hugues first lived in Paris, France, for two years before moving to Washington, D.C., where Annette worked as an economist at the World Bank and later joined Design Cuisine, one of the top caterers in D.C. There, she developed her passion for food and entertaining. During this time, she and Hugues welcomed their three children.
The family’s journey continued with several international moves—five years in France, five years in Larchmont, New York, and another two years back in France—before finally settling in Raleigh. There, Annette became a consultant for an international relocation company and, in her free time, tutored students in Spanish and French, languages she mastered in addition to English and Portuguese.
Annette loved people and was a devoted Catholic, always ready to help anyone in need. Her radiant smile and kindness made everyone around her feel valued and loved. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and of several Bible study groups. Her compassion, humility, and joyful spirit touched everyone she met.
Annette is survived by her beloved husband, Hugues Lefebvre; her daughter, Celine Lefebvre; her sons, Stefan Lefebvre, his wife, Suwani, and their son, Remy; and Philippe Lefebvre, his wife, Danielle, and their daughters, Autumn and Reagan. She is also survived by her brother, Lewis Remick and his wife Beth, and her sister, Quita Remick.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh, NC. A Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a eulogy at 10:50 a.m. A reception and visitation will then take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fallon Center, adjacent to the church, followed by a private family ceremony at the columbarium.
