With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Barbara Anselma Lampi Tirronen announces her peaceful passing on November 12, 2025, at the age of 90. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, nana, great-nana, sister, and friend whose kindness, resilience, and Finnish sisu touched all who knew her.

Born on January 23, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, to Anselm and Lillian Lampi, Barbara grew up in Ashby, Massachusetts. She later married her husband, Kauko, and settled in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where she raised her family. She retired from the Fitchburg State College Library after 25 years of dedicated service as the library director's assistant. In 1998, she and her husband Kauko moved to Lake Worth Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed her retirement years.

Barbara is survived by her beloved children:
- John Tirronen, Lake Worth Beach, Florida
- Kathryn Grammel and husband Dan, Leominster, Massachusetts
- Carol Wilson and husband Larry, St. Cloud, Florida
- Diane Dunn and husband Michael, Reading, Massachusetts

She was the cherished nana of Sarah (Adam) Trussell, Stephanie Grammel, Tara Wilson, Amanda Grammel, Emily (Dalton) Chaffee, Danny Grammel, and Hallie Dunn.

She was also the proud great-nana of Noah, Lainie, Finn, and Lon Trussell, each bringing her immeasurable joy.

Barbara is further survived by her loving siblings:
- Janet Larocque and partner Richard, Gulf Shores, Alabama
- Jack Lampi and wife Shirley, Mobile, Alabama

She was predeceased by her first husband of 48 years, Kauko Tirronen, who passed in 2004, and by her second husband, Torgny Fredrickson, who passed in 2016.

Barbara's deep love of family and friends, her joyful passion for singing, her creativity, and her adventurous spirit were the hallmarks of her life. Committed to community service, she was a member of Eastern Star, a Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls, and a leader of the Girl Scouts.

Her legacy lives on in her family and in the memories that will forever echo in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.

A private burial will be held in Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
