Barbara Lindquist
September 14, 1960 - October 20, 2025
Barbara Lindquist, 65, of Goodyear, Arizona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Born on September 14, 1960, in Portland, Oregon, to Harriette Ecker and Carl O'Neil, Barbara lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and unwavering faith.
She spent the majority of her life in Hermiston, Oregon, where she cultivated deep roots and lasting friendships. In 2010, she relocated to Goodyear, Arizona, bringing with her a quiet strength and a radiant love for Jesus that touched everyone she encountered. A devoted charismatic Christian, Barbara lived each day guided by the Holy Spirit—walking in grace and faith and always giving glory to God.
Barbara was especially gifted in toll painting—a creative outlet through which she brought beauty into the lives of others. Her artistry reflected the joy and peace she found in her faith. She delighted in time spent with her family and her beloved dogs and found purpose in sharing the goodness of the Lord with those around her. Even through life's challenges, Barbara's trust in God never wavered; she held fast to His promises and found comfort in His presence.
She is survived by her daughter Meranda Wilson and son-in-law Kayle Wilson; her four cherished grandchildren; her brother George Oniel; her sister Pam; and her mother-in-law Elaine Lindquist. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Gene Lindquist and her parents Harriette Ecker and Carl O'Neil.
Barbara's life was a testament to God's enduring love and faithfulness. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her spirit lives on—healed, whole, and rejoicing in the eternal light of her Savior. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but remembered always with love and gratitude.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
