RENNIE (Nizolek), BARBARA A., 88, Stamford, CT, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Stamford Hospital. Born on December 18, 1936, in Stamford, CT, the daughter of George and Lillian Nizolek. She was a life-long resident of Stamford, CT.
In her lifetime, Barbara enjoyed being around family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting family in Pennsylvania and trips to the Casino. She was a very compassionate, caring and generous person. She was always helping others. Barbara graduated from Stamford High School in 1954. After high school, she worked for Gristedes Supermarket as a Bookkeeper for over 20 years and later retired in 2008 from Early Childhood Education as a Teacher's Aide.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian Nizolek, her husband, Neil Rennie, Sr, of 57 years marriage; by brothers William (Millie) Nizolek, George (Joan) Nizolek, Jack (Arlene) Nizolek and James (Donna) Nizolek. Survived by son, Neil (Carla) Rennie, Jr., grandchildren, Chase and Brooke Rennie and niece (like a daughter), Patricia (Frank) Nizolek Pokorny and their children, Lisa, Frankie, Christopher and Tyler; by sister-in-law Irene (Frank) Rennie and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara will always be within our hearts. She was an amazing woman and will be missed dearly by many. May she rest eternally in God's embrace, reunited with her beloved Neil, and may her light continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
As per Barbara's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private.
