It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother and grandmother, Barbara Grace (Curd) Rhodes, who left us on 9/13/25 at the age of 71. Barbara was a veteran who was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving for 13 years. Being an optimist and romantic, she was married four times (Rhodes, Tate, Spence, Fehr). She was extremely colorful, intensely witty, and was a strong force of nature. She was all about peace and love, and made her way through life in her own unique way. Even in difficult times, she never lost her fiery spirit. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Marion C. and Vernon F. Curd, and her brother Roger Curd (Carol). She is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Catherine) Fehr of Bryan Texas, and Zachary (Kristin) Fehr of Colorado Springs Colorado; her step-daughter Ashleigh Rhodes; her five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren- including Cypress, whom she pulled into her heart and help raised as if she were her own. As she adored all of her children with her whole heart, her love and laughter will forever echo in ours. At her request, the family will hold a private celebration of life in the mountains of Colorado.
