Barbara G. (Roche) Tronca, age 72, of Quincy, died peacefully, Monday, November 17, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born in Winthrop, to the late John and Joan (Benway) Roche. Raised in Somerville, she was a graduate of Somerville High School and later attended Cape Cod Community College.

Barbara began her career working as a court recorder for the Cambridge District Court for several years. She then was employed at the City of Somerville's Clerk's Office as a principal clerk for many years.

Most of all, Barbara was devoted to her family - her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Barbara loved being a Noni and this brought her the most joy.

Devoted mother of Geraldine V. Thissell and her husband Daniel of Plymouth, Joan E. Andrade and her husband Jose of Quincy.

Loving grandmother of Gregory Mario Thissell, Natalie Barbara Thissell, Nina Barbara Tavares and her husband Zachary, and Juliana Rose Andrade.

Cherished great grandmother of Emelia and Jiovanni.

The last of four siblings whom she loved dearly, Barbara was predeceased by Marilyn Roche, Harry Roche, and Geraldine Roche.

Barbara is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, November 21, from 4 - 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Saturday, November 22, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy.
