In Loving Memory of Bernice Kimmel Pulver Wilcox
July 29, 1936 - October 15, 2025 (Long time Clearwater, FL resident)
“Her light was gentle, but it reached far.”

With love, gratitude, and heartfelt remembrance, we share the passing of Bernice “Bea” Kimmel Wilcox, who departed this life peacefully on October 15, 2025 in Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice was predeceased by her first husband, Richard D. Pulver, and later by her second husband, Michael C. Wilcox. Bernice was a woman of quiet strength, steady kindness, and unwavering love. She brought warmth and calm to every space she entered, and her gentle presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was a devoted and loving mother to Ronald (Susan) Pulver, James Pulver (Elisha Shultz), David (Valerie) Wilcox, and Dawn (James) Habermas. She was also the proud grandmother of 10 beloved grandchildren (Lisa Pulver (Corey), Stephen (Lauren) Pulver, Nicole Parsons (Nick), Morgan Parsons (Sean), Kimberly (Shea) Green, Shawn Pulver, Brandon Habermas, Brittany (Brennan) Neidrauer, Tyler Wilcox, and Spencer (Ashley) Wilcox) and 9 cherished great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

Her life was rooted in the values of family, kindness, and dedicated service thru the Junior League of Rochester and later Clearwater/Dunedin. She found joy in life’s simplest blessings: laughter in the kitchen, playing games with her children and their friends, and heartfelt conversations. She had a remarkable way of making people feel truly seen, heard, and loved.

She made everyone feel welcome in her home, the Wilcox house was often the place to be when us kids were growing up. Bea was known for her warmth, grace, and unmistakable sense of style. Always fashionable, with lipstick perfectly matched to her outfit, she carried herself with confidence and charm.

A celebration of Bernice’s life will be held in Rochester in Spring of 2026. All who knew her are welcome to join in honoring a life well lived. We plan to have a celebration of life in Florida within the next month or so, details at a later time.

She will be remembered for her strength in times of trial; Bernice was an 11-year pancreatic cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in tribute to her generous spirit and lifelong care for others.

Though we mourn her loss, we are comforted in knowing that Bea left this world just as she lived in it—peacefully, with grace, and surrounded by the love of her family. Her spirit lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in every life she touched with her compassion and unwavering love.
