Bernyle A. Heibler

Bernyle (Bernie) Anne Heibler passed away on October 31, 2025 in Branford, CT. at the age of 96. Bernie was born in Danbury, CT on November 23, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Henry J. Schirmer and Hazel Havens Schirmer. She was the spouse of the late Francis "Bud" Raynor Heibler (1924-2004) of Norwalk, CT. and later of South Windham, CT. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth R. Erickson, a daughter, Victoria Anne Erickson and a son, Robert J. Erickson, all of Norwalk, CT, as well as her brother Robert Schirmer and sisters, Imelda Schirmer and Anne M. Schirmer, all of Danbury, CT. She leaves behind her brother, Edward Henry (Marie) Schirmer of Vero Beach, FL. and two sisters, Mary Lancy and Barbara Cellotti, both of Danbury, CT. as well as a son, Leif Erickson of Norwalk, CT. She further leaves behind her step-children, with whom she joyfully spent the past 20 plus years of her life, Elizabeth M. (Carl) Pantaleo of East Haven, CT; Deborah A. (James) Sfiridis of Farmington, CT; William F. (Teresa) Heibler of North Haven, CT and Richard E. (Carole) Heibler of Fairfield, CT.
Services will be private and her remains will be buried in the Schirmer family plot located at St. Peter's Cemetery in Danbury, CT. The family hereby acknowledges the wonderful care that Bernie received at Ark Healthcare, formerly known as Branford Hills Healthcare, during the past decade.
