Bob L. Lotti

Bob “Coach” Lotti passed peacefully in his sleep, with his children by his side, after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy and his eldest son Gus. Dad raised 6 children, had 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was fondly known to them as Papa.

Dad was raised in Burlingame CA, and attended Serra High School, followed by the University of Notre Dame, class of 1960. He was a lifelong Fighting Irish fan. After college he married Nancy and together they raised their children in San Bruno, eventually retiring to Lake Almanor CA.

Dad was a high school teacher, coach, and mentor to numerous student athletes for 43 years. He could remember many of his players throughout his life. One of his favorite past times was reminiscing with them whenever he had a chance. He seemed to have a knack for reaching students who needed a little extra help and keeping them on track. Dad was an avid golfer, sports fan, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed summers in Tahoe with the family, fishing in Lake Almanor, and golfing with his friends in Reno. We were fortunate to have a lifetime of memories with him and to be by his side when he passed. He will be missed by his family and friends for sure.

A celebration of life will be held after the New Year.
