Brenda, lovingly known as “The Travel Diva,” passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a woman of deep faith, a passionate traveler, and a devoted animal lover whose life was full of joy, purpose, and adventure.

For 22 years, she shared a beautiful marriage with her husband John. Together, they built a life rich with memories, exploring the world hand in hand and supporting each other through every chapter. John was not only her partner in marriage, but her constant travel companion, best friend, and anchor.

Brenda found true joy in discovering the world and helping others do the same. She had a remarkable gift for planning unforgettable trips and loved nothing more than inspiring friends and family to follow their own travel dreams.

Her greatest love, beyond travel, was for animals. Her beloved horse, Maverick, brought her peace and freedom, while her cherished dogs — Gabriel, Stella, and Gracie — were her constant companions and true family. Though she didn’t have children, her pets were her babies, deeply loved and cared for every day of their lives.

Brenda’s strong faith in God guided her life. She will be remembered for her radiant spirit, and her love for both people and animals. Her radiant smile and sparkling blue eyes lit up a room everywhere she went. She saw the best in everyone she met.

In honor of Brenda, please take a moment to feel the ocean breeze, plan that trip you've been putting off, or do something kind for an animal in need. That’s how she lived — fully, faithfully, and with great love.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Mary Conrad and In-Laws, Ed and Ruth Hritzkowin.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Hritzkowin, her cherished dogs, her beloved horse and siblings, Rick (Diane) Conrad and Steve (Lori) Conrad, brother and sisters-in-law, Ron Hritzkowin, Jan (Bill) Zvanut, Carol (Dan) Carey and Jill (Barry) Miller. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Rest peacefully, Brenda. Your journey continues in the hearts of all who loved you.

There will be a Celebration of Brenda’s life on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Andre’s Fox Run, #1 Putt Lane, Eureka, MO 63025 from 2pm to 6pm. A short prayer vigil will be conducted at 3:30pm.
