Obituary for Brenda Joyce Patton (Vinson)
 October 4, 1948 - October 8, 2025
With love and heavy hearts, we share the passing of Brenda Joyce Patton (Vinson), a woman whose warmth, laughter, and gentle spirit brought joy to everyone who knew her. Brenda was born on October 4, 1948, though her mother always swore it was October 6 — so she happily celebrated both, just as someone as full of love as Brenda deserved.

Brenda passed away peacefully on the evening of October 8, 2025, at 10:22 p.m., going home to God while cradled in the loving arms of her family.

Brenda had a gift for turning ordinary days into something special. She loved to play — whether it was endless rounds of Clue and Monopoly, or simply turning life's moments into something silly and fun. Her kitchen was always filled with the smell of something baking, or the sound of laughter from the people she loved most. Feeding others was her love language, and she never let anyone leave hungry — not for food or for love. She had a gift for turning simple moments into memories.

Brenda adored her family and took joy in every shared laugh and moment. She loved talking and spending time with her beloved sister, Judy - and was her grand-babies biggest fan. At the end of the day she was happiest snuggled close, sharing all the "good bits" from her favorite tub of ice cream.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Danny Patton, her beloved son Danny Patton Jr., her brothers Johnny, Jimmy, and Verlin Vinson, her sisters Martha and Corky Vinson, and her beloved mother Cylvia Vinson.

She is survived by her sister Judy Jackson, her nieces Shea and Dana. Her brother Roger Vinson, and her grandchildren: Jordan (Kyle) Hall, Seth (Anna) Patton, Josh (Madeline) Patton, Jacob (Laci) Miller, and Mekala Rice. Brenda also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Garrhett, Alazander, Carson, Nova, Aleigha, Triston and Brennon — all of whom brought her endless joy.

Brenda's love was the steady kind that fills hearts and lingers long after goodbye. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her joy, kindness, and laughter will live on in every meal shared, every song sung, and every sweet, silly memory she left behind.

A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at a private location at a later date: In her honor, laugh a little louder, love a little harder, and always share the best bits of your ice cream — just like she would have wanted
