Brenda Sue Stidman who was called home to be with the Lord on Friday October 17th, 2025. Born to Josephus and Mary Frances Cobbins on December 1, 1959 in Belzoni, Mississippi. Brenda's life was a beautiful testament of faith, love, and dedication to her family and friends. Brenda accepted Christ in 1983 and was a devoted member of Christ Temple, C.O.G.I.C. in Gary, Indiana for 43 years. She married Robert Earl Stidman in the summer of 1983 and together they raised four children. After the completion of their marriage in 2005 Brenda never remarried; she continued to dedicate her life to Christ.
Brenda had a gift for nurturing and dedicating herself to helping others in various roles. She was a prayer warrior, Missionary and singer, Brenda was known for her compassion, humor and kindness, and was blessed with a spirit of discernment that guided her interactions and relationships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephus and Mary Cobbins and seven brothers, Monroe Cobbins, Joe Cobbins, Johnny Cobbins, Andrew Cobbins, Bennie Cobbins, Jerry Cobbins, and Levester Cobbins, and two sisters Alice Neal and Evelyn Cobbins. Her daughter April Wiggins and her grandson Kaylin Douglas. Her niece Mary Neal and nephew Timothy Cobbins.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory and survive by her 1 brother John Otha Cobbins ex-husband Robert Stidman, her children Catherine (Adrian) Mitchell, LaToya (George) Rivera, Steve Cobbins and Garth Wiggins. Her 7 grandchildren, Marcus(Asia) Douglas, Taijae McCown, Cedric Eugene JonesⅢ, Kenyuna Jones, Arnetra General, Tyler Mitchell and Taler Mitchell. Her 5 great-grandchildren Ezekiel McCown,Cianni Jones, Ariyah Jones, Maximus Douglas and Azaire Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
