Candyce S. Henry, 1952-2025
Candyce S. Henry, a trailblazing U.S. Naval officer and accomplished AT&T executive and mother of two, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.
Born in 1952, Candyce was among the first female line officers in the U.S. Navy, serving with distinction from 1973 to 1978. Her pioneering spirit and unwavering dedication broke barriers for women in military service. Following her naval career, she rose through the ranks at AT&T, where she was known for her leadership, intelligence, work ethic and commitment to excellence. Candye's life was impactful and profound.
Candyce is survived by her loving sister, Debra Kuhn, and her two sons, Craig and Eric Henry. She will be remembered for her courage, wit, and the deep compassion she showed to those around her.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the doors she opened for future generations. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
