Cathy Marie Brusseau

It is with deep sadness and regret, to announce that Catherine Marie Brusseau of Angels Camp, CA (formerly of Vacaville CA) has passed away. Born and raised in the rural English Hills, of Vacaville, Ca, she graduated from Vacaville high school, Class of 1983. She was known for her beautiful green eyes, heart warming smile, great sense of humor, and speaking her mind, especially her conservative political views, that she always backed up with logic, and common sense. She started as a Baker for Raley's, then got her Class B license, to drive for Schwann's in Napa, and Clear Lake, CA where her great personality, quickly made her one of the top employees in sales. She worked for the Fairfield Unified School District for 19 years, and
sold vintage jewelry, and collectibles on eBay after retiring.
She, with her life partner Kevin Patz, moved to Angels Camp, CA after the family ranch burned in the 2020 LNU fire. Her hobbies included, gold prospecting and metal detecting, Classic Volkswagens, and her prized 1974 Porsche 914 Creamsicle LE,. She also loved going to Estate Sales, and fishing. She always caught the biggest fish. Like the time she won a fishing tournament, on a charter boat, by catching three huge Halibut, while the rest, all men, caught nothing! She was an excellent cook, and loved fixing up her 100+ year old home, overlooking hwy 49 in the gold country. Cathy will be remembered for her generosity, especially towards animals, often delivering boxes of fruit and vegetables, to neglected farm animals and animal sanctuaries. When the animals saw her, they would run and dance, because she had gifts for them. She will be missed by her Amazon Parrot, Wally whom she spent over 40 years with, and brought her so much joy, and mischief. She always thought of others, especially her son Tyler, that she loved watching grow up.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Brusseau, and Father, Thomas Bruce Brusseau. She is survived by her life partner, Kevin Patz of Angels Camp CA, son Tyler (Biggs) Brusseau, of Vacaville, brother Thomas Brusseau, (Debbie) of Bend Oregon, Brother Joseph Brusseau of Angels Camp, CA, along with Wally, her beloved Parrot. A Celebration Of Life gathering, will be announced with a date in the near future.
