In Loving Memory of Chad Allen Bratcher
November 22, 1975 – October 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Chad Allen Bratcher. His life was a journey marked by both deep pain and extraordinary sensitivity. Though he faced many hardships that most of us can only imagine, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace — home in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
From a young age, Chad experienced a world that was not always kind or easy to understand. He carried burdens that few could see, fighting quiet battles with mental illness and addiction throughout his life. To the outside world, those struggles may have been hard to grasp, but to know Chad was to know a man of deep feeling — creative, intelligent, and compassionate.
Chad had a gift for expressing emotion through poetry, a gift he shared with his mother. His words captured both the heartache and beauty of his journey, revealing glimpses of hope and longing even in the darkest moments. He also loved and cherished time spent with those he loved most, his family.
Though life led him down difficult paths, Chad never lost his humanity. Beneath the pain, there was always a heart that cared deeply — a soul searching for understanding, peace, and love.
Chad’s life came to a tragic end when he was struck by a car at the age of 49. While his passing leaves a hole that words can’t fill, we take comfort in the truth that his suffering has ended. The turmoil and voices that once plagued him are now silent. Chad is free — whole, healed, and held in the eternal peace of Christ.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”— Revelation 21:4
Chad’s story reminds us all to lead with compassion — to see beyond the surface, to understand the struggles others may face silently, and to hold fast to the hope that God redeems even the hardest roads.
We will always love and remember Chad — not for the challenges he faced, but for the gentle heart that endured them. May his soul rest in the everlasting peace and light of Jesus Christ.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever free.
