Charles John Bull, Sr., 65, of Parkton, Maryland, passed away peacefully in Mooresville, North Carolina, on October 23, 2025, surrounded by love.

Born and raised in Parkton, Charlie was known for his quick wit, huge heart, and the way he could make anyone laugh. After a lifetime of hard work paving roads and highways in the State of Maryland, he was excited to move to Mooresville to be closer to his daughter, Melanie, and to enjoy the slower pace of southern life.

Charlie loved fishing, cheering for his Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, watching car races, and spending time with friends at the American Legion. He had a gift for storytelling, a contagious laugh, and a way of making everyone around him feel like family.

He is survived by his loving children, his son Charles John Bull Jr. and his daughter-in-law Jen Lewis, daughter Melanie, daughter Holly Frey and son-in-law Lee Frey Jr. and their Mother, Mary Younger, and his son Kasey Edward Bull and his mother Jamie Ring, as well as his loving pomerian mix, Kona Marie; his siblings Edith (Gary) Chaffman, Chris Bull, Clarence (Robin) Bull, Jr., and Cathy (Doug) Herbert; Grandchildren Teila, Joshua, Katrina, Ava, Lana, Taylor, Haley and Matthew as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Bull, his sister Anne Smith and his brother David Bull.

Charles’ life was rooted in hard work, faith, and love for his family. A man of Christian faith, he lived with compassion, humor, and generosity until his final days.

Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held November 8th, 2025 in Parkton, MD. The memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church address: 18310 Middletown Rd Parkton, Md 21120 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of life to follow the service beginning at 1:00 p.m at The American Legion Post 256 address: 19520 York Rd Parkton, Md 21120
