Christopher Robert Struble of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2025. Chris was a devoted father, a loving husband, a gifted jeweler, and a passionate storyteller. His love for music, history, and the beauty of Northern Michigan touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

From his teenage years, Chris showed a deep interest in music, especially the guitar. His exceptional artistic spirit and creativity guided him into a lifelong career as a jeweler. He took great pride in his craft, creating timeless and meaningful pieces that reflected both his artistry and attention to detail. His work at Arlington Jewelers was admired throughout the community and will remain a beautiful part of his legacy.

Chris was also deeply dedicated to preserving Northern Michigan's literary and cultural history. As President of the Michigan Hemingway Society, he worked tirelessly to honor the legacy of Ernest Hemingway and to share the stories that shaped the Petoskey area. Many will remember him for his engaging Hemingway and historical walking tours through downtown Petoskey — especially his fascinating tales about the city's hidden underground tunnels. His passion and knowledge brought local history vividly to life for countless visitors and friends.

Chris also shared his storytelling talent through his popular podcast, Tales of Northern Michigan's Past, where listeners came to know his distinctive voice and his love for uncovering the region's rich history, ghost stories, and local legends.

Above all, Chris was a loving and proud father who cherished traveling and sharing stories with his family. His stories, creativity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Tatsiana, his children, Mikaela and Alex, his brother, Jeff, and his father, Thomas, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life for Chris will be held at City Park Grill in Petoskey on October 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
All who knew him are welcome to join in sharing memories and honoring his life.
