Christopher Travis Waddell, 36, of Elkton, Oregon sadly passed away in an automobile accident on July 18, 2023. Chris, or Waddell, as he was known by many, will be very missed by friends and family. He was known for his approachable and easy-going personality, his ability to put others at ease, and his sense of humor. He was a self-described “lovable asshole” but his loved ones know that he truly was one of the most caring people in the world. Waddell was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and gamer, and the best dog-dad to Maggie. He was a kind and caring friend, deeply loyal, and the life of any party. He worked several summers as a zipline guide in Ketchikan Alaska leading tours at height through the rainforest canopy. Throughout the course of this career, he made a lasting impact and brightened the day of hundreds, if not thousands, of visitors to the Alaska Canopy Adventure tour with his easy-going smile and hilarious personality.
Chris is survived by his mother, Michelle Waddell, and various other family members. In addition, he is survived by friends he considered family, among them Topher and Lucy Mitchell. He had many friends from his seasons of ziplinine guiding in Alaska, West Virginia and other jobs that will always remember him fondly.
He always dreamed of a laid-back lifestyle on his farm with his dog, where he was truly happy. May he rest in peace, and have found that peaceful life in heaven.
