Cindy Laura Annis, 61, of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. Born on May 21, 1964, in Hartford, Connecticut, Cindy spent most of her life in Bloomfield before moving to Manchester in the early 2000s, where she lived with her mother, Kristin Green, and daughter, Jennifer.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Kristin Green; her two daughters, Kathrine Annis and Jennifer Annis; two nieces, Ashley Corneliuson and Jay Corneliuson-Barnes; and three sisters, Debra Dagenais, Melissa Corneliuson-Barnes, and Sarah Haynes. She was predeceased by her father, Gary Annis.
A devoted mother and caretaker, Cindy dedicated much of her life to her family. She was a stay-at-home mother throughout Jennifer's childhood and lovingly cared for her mother in later years. Cindy found joy in the simple things—fishing on quiet mornings, baking for loved ones, listening to her favorite music, and spending time with her children and her cats.
Cindy had a special way of showing her love through food. She made her famous pumpernickel dip every Thanksgiving and Christmas, baked birthday cakes for everyone's special day, and swore that all of life's problems could be solved with a plate of her homemade meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Her food was more than just a meal—it was her way of comforting, celebrating, and connecting with the people she loved most.
Those who knew Cindy will remember her creativity, her warmth, and her unmistakable "jolly" laugh that could light up a room. She brought humor and heart to everyone around her and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
At this time, the family has chosen to forgo formal services and will plan a celebration of life at a later date to honor Cindy's memory and the joy she brought to others.
