In Loving Memory of Clyde Lowstuter
Clyde Lowstuter (78) passed away on October 24, 2025. Clyde was a beloved husband, father, Pops, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and coach.
Clyde was the Founder & CEO of Robertson Lowstuter for more than 40 years and brought authenticity to the forefront of Corporate America. As a Master Certified Coach through ICF, Clyde was a visionary thought leader and pioneer in the field of Executive Coaching and High-Performance Team Building.
He was known not only as an exceptional coach and leader, but as a man of great humor, curiosity, creativity, generosity, heart — and, of course, for his love of sharing a good glass of wine.
He loved exploring potential—in people, in ideas, in art. He was continuously looking to see what boundary to push next. He was a sailor, a pilot, a diver, an author, a sculptor, a traveler, a listener, a skateboarder, a harmonica player, an explorer scout, an elder, a whistler, a swimmer, a Chex mix master, a marathon runner, a theater aficionado, a wine club subscriber, a tennis player, a 2CV collector, a love note scribe, a water skier, a whiskey lover, a birdwatcher, a raccoon chaser, a punster, a taste tester, a high ropes course survivor, a white water rafter, a marching band trumpeter, a reader, a lemon picker—a good man.
He was often awake before dawn scheming ways to surprise and delight. He rarely liked to do the same thing twice. Clyde was a lifelong learner. He earned his MA in Organizational Psychology at the University of Illinois whereas newlyweds, Clyde and Carolyn, had a ball going to all the university concerts (including Rolling Stones for $2 a ticket). He earned his BA in Psychology and Sociology from Aurora University where he was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and then Cumberland, Maryland. He spent his summers at his Granny’s cottage at Chautauqua, NY where he fostered his love for diverse thought, civil discourse, and artistic expression.
Once he was in college, Clyde’s family relocated to Wheaton, IL where he met his beloved Carolyn and became “the boy next door.” He is survived by his wife of 56 years their daughter (Cammen) and their son (Nathan), his wife, (Katrina), their children (Kaitlyn and Danny) and of course, everyone’s favorite family members, the puppies (Nova and Hailey).
Clyde filled his world with laughter and love. He will be missed but never forgotten.
A Memorial Service with reception to follow to celebrate Clyde’s life will be held on December 6, 2025 at 3pm at the Village Church of Lincolnshire, 201 N Riverwoods Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor. https://events.alz.org/fundraisers/katrinalowstuter/in-loving-memory-of-clyde-lowstuter
