Connie Harper was born in SLC Utah of Danish immigrants in 1925, pursuing life with a vengeance. Artistically inclined, she artfully tiled everything that did not move - tables, lawn furniture. She painted, sang, played piano, danced, modeled and was an avid golfer. Out of high school, she married Stanley David Schubach of Schubach Jeweler's - they birthed four children, Stanley Jr; Nanette Marie; John Scott and Joan Christine. After years as a single mother, in 1968 Connie married Wynn George Freeman, head of the Fish and Game Dept in Helena MT, where she worked as a Travel Guide/Agent creating travel itinerary and dreams for her clientele, as well as conducting tours in Hawaii. Connie was intelligent and insightful, strong, willful and complicated.
Her husband, Wynn passed Sept 1978 from heart failure. A few years later, she found love with Jack R. Harper, a renowned surgeon-turned attorney, specializing in medical malpractice. They enjoyed a full, vital life living in Helena, then designed/built their dream home in Big Sky MT, whereas friends and family would cross- country ski, hike and dine at their home. Connie and Jack also lived in Chimacum WA, later moving to Yuma AZ. Jack passed In Oct of 2012, with Connie moving to Sacramento to be closer to her daughter, Nan and her grand and great grands. Generous beyond measure, this woman gave of herself throughout her long 100 year life.
Preceded in death by son, John Scott in 1997, and grand daughter, Gina-Louise "Jenny" Schubach in 2011. Connie is survived by Jack's three daughters, Becky, Missy and Sheryl Harper, Stanley (Linda), Nanette, Joan (Patrick) along with grands and great grands that struggle with her passing. She was this amazing woman, so loved - Connie will be missed, forever remembered.
