Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Daigle (Peracca), 69, of Cape Coral, Florida, took her final breath on November 4, 2025, at 11:11 p.m. Cindy was born in New London, Connecticut, on October 27, 1956, to John and Patricia Peracca.
From an early age, Cindy loved to dance. That joy stayed with her throughout her life — even on her final day, she raised her arms from her bed to shimmy and shake one last time.
Cindy also twirled baton and proudly served as the lead majorette in several local parades. In high school, she was a member of the elite fire baton squad, dazzling crowds with her talent.
She graduated from Montville High School in 1974, earning the title of "Best Dressed," a title she carried with her for life. Whether attending a gala or a dentist appointment, Cindy was always dressed to impress — her hair flawless, nails perfectly matched, and her confidence radiant.
Following graduation, Cindy began her career as a secretary at a local law firm before joining The New London Savings Bank. In May of 1975, she married Donald Matsen, and together they had two daughters, Keri and Melissa, who became the center of her world. Don and Cindy later separated and she re-married Edward Daigle in 1993.
Cindy's greatest joys were her daughters and, later, her grandchildren. Together, Cindy, Keri, and Melissa were known as "The Triplets." They shared many adventures, often celebrating Cindy's birthdays in Fort Lauderdale, dancing the nights away in the highest heels. Shopping sprees were legendary — nothing was off limits — and at her 60th birthday, they even got matching tattoos, despite Cindy's lifelong rule against them! Their bond is unbreakable and will continue to live on.
Cindy also found joy in creativity and tradition. She learned to sew from her paternal grandmother, Bruna Peracca, and over the years, she honed her craft — making doll clothes, funny pillows, her own outfits, and even prom dresses for her sisters. Cindy loved hosting family and friends for holidays, celebrations, and her beloved annual Christmas ravioli-making event. Cindy treasured her friendship with Cres, and the two shared countless memories together. Their yearly trips to Diamond Head — with the car top down, laughter in the air, and sunshine on their faces — were among her favorite adventures.
In 2020, Cindy was diagnosed with CNS brain lymphoma after suffering three strokes. She courageously relearned how to walk, talk, and eat — defying all odds and beating brain cancer twice. Though the third recurrence was too much for her body, Cindy fought with unmatched strength and grace until the very end.
Cindy was predeceased by her husband, Edward Daigle, and her mother, Patricia Peracca.
She is survived by her daughters Melissa (Mike) Wilcox and Keri (Brian) Vahey; her grandchildren Dylan Wilcox, Kevin Wilcox and Mason Wilcox; all of Florida, her father John Peracca; her sisters Linda and Teresa Peracca; her brother John Peracca, Jr.; and her first husband, Donald Matsen, as well As her beloved grand dogs, Halo, Cane and Finley.
Cindy will be remembered as a true beauty — inside and out — with a heart of gold, impeccable style, and a spirit that lit up every room she entered. Her love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in those who were blessed to know her.
