Daisy Violet Williams

Daisy Violet Williams (Smith), affectionately known as Sister Vie and Nana, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on April 11, 1954, in Mason River, Clarendon, Jamaica, the beloved firstborn of Roy Smith and Eulalee Wignal.

Daisy was the eldest of nine children—Verna, Vincent, Burnetta, Jennifer, Donovan, Veta (deceased), Avis, and Timothy—and a guiding light for her family. Her early years were marked by a love of learning and a gentle, caring spirit. She attended Kilsyth Primary and Infant School and Frankfield Comprehensive High School, where she excelled academically and was admired for her grace and kindness.

She then married John Williams, her childhood friend, and together they raised four children: Howard, Montia, Marsha, and Jeffrey, also welcoming Renee Williams into their family.

For more than ten years, Daisy served as a cherished family companion for the Ralby family—caring for their children, Max and Noah. She was cherished not just as a caregiver but as a true friend, family member, and equal, leaving a lasting impact on their lives with her warmth, patience, and love.

After her time as a nanny, Daisy continued her devotion to family by supporting her daughter, Montia, through medical school, caring for her grandchildren while helping her pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.

Daisy always devoted her life to her family and her faith. She later began to work in Senior Care, touching countless lives with her integrity and compassion. All while faithfully being a member of the church, earning her title as a prayer warrior, guided by her favorite verse, Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

She is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters, three brothers, countless nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Veta.
