Eventually through his travels and expeditions, his final venture and destination is when he crossed paths with Beverly "Bev" Walker, whom he later married on July 1, 2000 and they ended up building their life and sharing 25 years together in St. Petersburg, FL.
One of Dan's proudest roles was being a dad and "Kapaw" and amongst his greatest joys was his son, Rod. Their relationship and bond that they shared was stronger than wood.
