Born on August 12, 1983, in Wilmington, Delaware, Daniel was the beloved son of Gail Marino Klee and Matthew Spangler Klee. He graduated from Salesianum High School in Wilmington, where his early passion for athletics began to shine. His talent in the pool led him to excel at the state level in Delaware's high school swim championships and later as an NCAA Division II individual medalist and relay Champion during his collegiate years.

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tampa before pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of Florida in Gainesville. His academic journey reflected not only his intellectual drive but also his deep commitment to justice and advocacy.

Following law school, Daniel began his legal career as a public defender in Gainesville, Florida. Whether boating along Florida's coastlines or casting a line on a quiet morning fishing trip, he found peace and connection in nature. He was also an avid cook and wine collector who delighted in sharing meals with loved ones.

Daniel's warmth extended far beyond professional circles. He was often chosen as best man—a testament to the deep friendships he cultivated over the years. Those closest to him knew him as caring and supportive—someone who could be counted on through life's highs and lows.
