David Campbell, 77, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on September 23, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, David lived a life marked by dedication to his country, deep love for his family, and a passion for creativity.
A veteran of the United States Army, David served during the Vietnam War with distinction. His commitment and bravery were recognized through the awarding of six overseas bars. He rose to the rank of E5 before completing his service. Following his military service, he worked for SPS technologies in Ft. Washington, Pa. He continued his dedication to the public service later working for and retiring from the State of Arizona.
Family was always at the heart of David's world. He is remembered with love by his sister Shirley Campbell. He also leaves behind his niece Tiki and nephew Travis. Though separated by time, he maintained a lasting connection with his ex-spouse Melissa Hawkins.
David was a devoted father to his sons Glenn, Michael, and Jonathan. His family grew to include daughters-in-law Jeannie and Heather, who became part of the fabric of his life. Among his greatest joys were his grandchildren: Joshua, Abby, Michael Jr., Bradley Sean, Bryan, and Ella—each one a source of pride and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Wallace brothers Michael and Bunny—these losses remained close to his heart throughout the years.
Dave was a man of many passions-especially for music, woodworking and technology. Dave had a gift for storytelling, often sharing humorous tales and heartfelt life lessons that left his loved ones smiling and inspired. Above all, he valued family, cherishing every moment spent with those closest to him.
Dave's presence, warmth and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, laughter and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
