David Allen Corush

David A Corush, 73, died November 6, 2025, after a fatal stroke. His devoted wife and best friend, Deborah Vlasak, was with him when he passed. He is survived by his brother, Jerrold (Jody Alberts) Corush and their daughter Laura, his nieces and nephews Jennifer and Ken Kirkman and Victoria and Mark Devoe and their children and many cousins, aunts and uncles across the country. Dave earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Agriculture from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He continued good friendships with many of his school friends from Clinton Elementary and Mather High School in Chicago. He began his career in Manufacturing at Jordan Industrial Supply in Wheeling. He was then hired by Courtesy Mold in Buffalo Grove, and with a large group of dedicated employees built a successful plastic injection molding company serving as their Director of Purchasing. After 17 years he moved to Hommer Tool, in Arlington Heights, as Purchasing Manager for 15 years. He recently began volunteering at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Arlington Heights. He will be remembered for his high standards, integrity, humor and fair treatment of both vendors and coworkers alike. Dave always believed that collaboration and teamwork were the best paths to success and inspired fidelity to an organization. Dave loved the outdoors; hiking, biking, paddling, fishing and river rafting many national and state parks over the years. He trained his own dogs and hunted upland game from time to time. He was an avid gardener and closely followed Formula 1 racing. If you have a favorite charity, please consider a donation in his memory.
