David Lyle McMurray

David Lyle McMurray, 82, passed away on October 15, 2025 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca McMurray, son Brett McMurray (Mary Ellen), daughter Kelly McMurray (Ryan), several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. David was born and raised in central Illinois where he worked as a diesel machinist at Central Illinois & Midland Railroad and later worked as a mechanic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Emory University. David served in the US Army as a medic.
