David C. "Chards" Moss 67.
Beloved son of the late Henry S. (Hank) "Poder" and the late Barbara J. "Mabel" Moss. Loving brother of Philip B. (Susan) Moss and Lawrence J. (Lauren Class Schneider) Moss. Fond uncle of Benjamin (Rachael Jackson Moss) Moss, Danny (Susan Landau Moss) Moss, Elena Moss and
Adele (Joey Glick) Moss. Happy great-uncle of Jay Henry Moss and Levi Max Moss. In addition to love of family, David loved to play and talk bridge. He played at a very high level, was a board member of the American Contract Bridge League and President of the Greater New York Bridge Association. His many friends and acquaintance in the bridge world will miss him. He remained an avid Chicago sports fan, even after four decades of living in New York (boo, Mets!). He and his brothers texted during Cubs games, predicting their impending doom. 2016 was a pleasant surprise, but he was sad that his mom Mabel didn't live to experience the Cubs' World Series Championship. He appreciated a good milkshake (vanilla, please); root beer float not far behind. He was sweet fellow with a sharp, inquiring mind; a droll sense of humor; a gentle soul with his nieces, nephews and grand nephews; a fierce and highly opinionated proponent of what he thought to be right. Service Thursday 9AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (One block north of Lake Cook Road) Buffalo Grove. Interment Shalom.
