Deloris A. Tenda-Dufrane, 84, left this world peacefully on October 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Casselberry, Florida.
Deloris was born on September 26, 1941, the daughter of Darden May Fernandez Bowman and Celestine Fernandez. She grew up in Spelter, West Virginia where she found a love for crafts and cooking, even winning a Mrs. Betty Crocker cooking award. After High School she took classes at WV Business College to learn bookkeeping, which she would use later to manage the family business in Casselberry, Florida. She also worked for AT&T and as a realtor.
She was a loving wife to her first husband, William L. Tenda Sr, who passed in 1988. Together, they raised three boys Johnny (Sara), William (Jennifer), Michael (Jenelle) in Northern Virginia. She was a devoted mother and wife, always there to offer guidance, love, and support. She cherished her motherly role and instilling family values in her boys.
She later met John Dufrane Jr. whom she married in 1998 and loved dearly. They lived in Casselberry, Florida where they started a Heating and Air Conditioning business. They shared a passion for RVing and loved making routine trips up to Virginia to visit family.
Deloris had many passions in life including creating and collecting dolls, making jewelry, and planning family get togethers. In addition, she loved spoiling and taking care of her dogs.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Dufrane Jr, her stepchildren Trey (Sara) and Debbie (Kevin) and 12 step-grandchildren. Her three boys Johnny (Sara), William (Jennifer), Michael (Jenelle) and 6 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Jo Veltri and Gene Bowman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who miss her dearly.
She is predeceased by her first husband William L. Tenda Sr., mother Darden May Fernandez Bowman, father Celestine Fernandez, brother Selester Leroy Fernandez, and in-laws John and Lily Dufrane and John and Anna Tenda.
