Send Flowers Plant A Tree
In Loving Memory of Diane Kinneman

Diane Kinneman, 67, of Astoria, Queens, NY, passed away on November 6, 2025, after a brief illness. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Diane’s life was woven with love, resilience, and deep compassion. She spent numerous years in New Jersey and found joy in the quiet beauty of summers in Wallkill, NY—places that became part of her story and spirit.

Diane was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Ulbrich; her father, Victor Moya; her stepfather, Kenneth Rogers; and her sister, Susan Rogers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Willie Diaz; her beloved son, John Koufos and his wife Marie; her treasured granddaughters, Vienna and Kalina, who brought her endless pride and delight; her dear cousin, Annie Glaser; her brother, Robert Moya; her sisters, Lisa Rogers and Angela Rogers; and her beloved dog, Nelly, who rarely left her side.

A woman of quiet strength and boundless warmth, Diane loved animals and served them at the Bergen County (NJ) Animal Shelter, the Animal Medical Center (NY), and various other shelters. Her love for animals was not just a passion—it was a calling. Over the years, she opened her heart and home to countless furry companions, each one receiving her unwavering affection.

Diane’s sense of humor was as sharp as it was endearing, and her love for Halloween was legendary among those who knew her. She delighted in the whimsy and wonder of the season, often going out of her way to make it magical for others. But perhaps most memorable was her generous spirit—she gave freely, including her laughter, and her love, always thinking of others before herself.

Beloved wife, mother, and “Oma”, Diane’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched—with kindness, with courage, and with a heart that never stopped giving. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Services will be private for the immediate family, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diane’s name to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter.
