Diane Louise Martin, 78 years young, born and raised in San Francisco Ca. Passed away on September 7th 2025.
As a young mother raising two boys, she returned to UC Santa Cruz to earn her B.A. degree.
She was also an artist and an incredible jazz drummer, playing in clubs throughout the Bay Area.
Diane was a scholar who continued her higher education. While attending CIIS in S.F., she worked hard to earn her Master's and PhD degrees, pursuing her passion of Humanities in East -West Psychology, including the psychology of CG Jung.
Diane loved to travel, having been to Hawaii, Mexico, Paris, Greece & Turkey. We celebrate Diane as a "lifelong learner" who loved to read, write, dance, sew, cook, play and listen to music, films, and philosophical and spiritual lectures, do abstract art painting and drawing. She was a doer and producer, who achieved several lifetimes of work. She loved photography, animals, birds, trees and nature. She had a gift of nurturing her plants.
Diane is survived by her family members: a brother Edward Martin, a son Gregory Borrelli, two granddaughters Ashley Drake, Bianca Rodway, great granddaughter Lucy Drake, great grandson Emmett Rodway nephew Greg Phelan, niece Lisa Reis, & husband Al Reis, great nephews Alberto & Nicholas Reis & loving partner of 27 years Ray Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her son Sandy Edinborgh, her sister Michelle Martin, Parents Edward & Marjorie Martin, Grandmother Evelyn Tripp, and beloved cats Gino and Shelby.
