Donald Nels Person

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Nels Person Jr., who left this world on August 12, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 21, 1960, in Eagan, Minnesota, Donald was a cherished son, devoted father, loving brother, and a friend to many. He was the beloved son of Donald Person Sr. and Arlene Person, who raised him with love and instilled in him values that he carried throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Person Sr., whose strength and integrity lives on through Donald's own character. He is survived by his mother, Arlene Person; his daughter, Cynthia Phillips (JT); his sister, Brenda Nelson (Al); and his cherished nephews, Adam (Rebecca) and Kevin (Xan).

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, yet his spirit will continue to live on in the love he shared with his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Fort Snelling Cemetery on November 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM, where we will honor Donald's life and legacy. After the interment, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Art House North, located at 793 Armstrong Ave W, St. Paul. We invite all who knew and loved Donald to come together to share stories, celebrate his life, and remember the joy he brought into our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donald's memory to a charity of your choice.

Donald Nels Person Jr. will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. His laughter, love, and spirit will forever remain a part of us. May he rest in peace, knowing he was truly loved by all.
