Doris Oaklander Arons

Doris (Oaklander) Arons, 97, died peacefully on August 26, 2025. Her family and friends will miss her smile, quirky humor, positive attitude, and love of family.

Doris and her brother Gabriel were the first set of twins born in West Hudson Hospital. She was raised in Kearny, NJ, above her father Frederick's pharmacy with her mother Anna and three brothers, Bernard, Harold, and Gabriel. With her husband of 59 years, Samuel, she lived in Irvington, Edison, and Toms River, NJ, before moving to Delray Beach, FL. Later, she moved to Cincinnati, OH.

Doris graduated from Upsala College and completed her credits toward a master's degree at Kean College. She was a second grade teacher in the Woodbridge Township school district for 21 years. She was a volunteer at Kimball Medical Center, and a life member of Hadassah and Deborah.

Doris is survived by daughters Allison Tepper and Cynthia Arons and grandsons Ari Tepper and Matthew Tepper. She is predeceased by her husband and her three brothers.
