Doris M. Davis, age 90, passed peacefully into heaven on October 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 28, 1935, in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of Harry and Anna Voight Cotton. Doris was raised in a close-knit neighborhood where traditions ran deep, and hearts were close

She lived a full and joyful life, marked by deep devotion to her family and friends. In her early years, Doris embraced life with a spirit of adventure, traveling widely and serving others with a generous heart.

A lifelong lover of the arts, Doris had a passion for Broadway and film. She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano, reading, traveling, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends including her crochet and book clubs.

Professionally, Doris found joy and fulfillment working in accounting at Mount Laurel Gardens, surrounded by the beauty of flowers she loved so much.

She was a devoted mother to Lori Beth Krumaker (son-in-law) William Rittmayer and a proud, loving grandmother to Grace and Molly Krumaker. Doris is also survived by her cherished sister, Grace Darpino, and was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Ernie Darpino.

She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, including Charles Shugars, Kenneth Shugars and his wife Lynn, and Doris Scott Schmelzer and her husband Marcel. Her legacy continues through her great-nieces and nephews: Kenneth Dale Shugars, Jr., Emily Hopkins, Eric Shugars, Caroline Deming, Sean Scott, and the late E. Scott Darpino.

Doris will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, bold heart, outspoken kindness, and unwavering love that could light up a room. Her faith was the foundation of her life—she joyfully proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ and believed deeply in salvation through His sacrifice.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
