Doris L. (Tocchio) Rose, age 74, of Braintree, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center in Milton, surrounded by her loving family.
Doris was born in Quincy, to the late Joseph F. and Mary M. (Widdop) Tocchio. Raised and educated there, she was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1969. She lived in Braintree for the past forty-five years.
Doris was employed as a school monitor for the Braintree Public Schools, working at Braintree High School for fourteen years. She retired in 2014. She was primarily a homemaker who was devoted to her family.
Doris loved to shop and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beloved wife for fifty-one years of Stephen C. Rose.
Devoted mother of Stephen T. "Todd" Rose and his wife Julie, Tammy M. Saylor and her husband Nathan, and Holly R. Satterlund and her husband Daniel.
Loving grandmother of Lucas; Ethan, Dylan, and Logan; Molly and Cole.
Sister of Marion Chaupetta and her late husband Vincent, James Tocchio and his wife Sandra, and Barbara Papile and her husband Jack.
Doris is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Sunday, October 5, from 2 - 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Monday, October 6, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow.
