Earl D Donaldson

Earl D. Donaldson, age 94, of The Villages, Florida, and formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025.

Mr. Donaldson honorably and proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Korean war veteran. After leaving the Navy, he worked as an engineer for A.E. Staley, was a licensed pilot and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Past memberships of Elks, Moose, Golden K Kiwanis and flying clubs. For pastimes, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing and flying his Cessna plane.

In 2000 he retired and moved to The Villages, Florida where he met our mom Barbara and was her loving and caring companion for 20 years until her passing.

Earl is remembered fondly by his two stepdaughters, Diane & Patricia, family and friends. He was a pure gentleman with a great sense of humor and plenty of stories to tell. God bless his soul and rest in peace.
